Privacy Policy

Noonan LLC (“Noonan,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Noonan Caddie mobile application and website at noonan.ai (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and what choices you have with respect to your data.

By downloading or using the Noonan Caddie app, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

1.  Information We Collect

1.1  Account & Identity Information

When you create a Noonan account, we collect:

  • Name and date of birth

  • Email address and/or phone number

  • Password (stored in hashed, non-reversible form)

  • Profile photo (if you choose to upload one)

 

1.2  Payment Information

To process subscriptions and premium purchases, we collect payment card details (card number, expiry, CVV) and billing address. Payment data is processed and tokenized by our third-party payment processor; Noonan does not store full card numbers on its own servers.

 

1.3  Golf Performance & Game Data

The core purpose of Noonan is to act as your AI caddie. To do so, we collect and store:

  • Round history, scores, and handicap information

  • Club selection history and average club distances

  • Shot data, aiming preferences, and course-specific notes

  • Launch monitor and golf simulator readings (ball speed, spin rate, launch angle, carry distance, and similar metrics) where you choose to connect a compatible device

  • Course conditions and weather data associated with your rounds

 

1.4  Location Data

With your permission, we collect GPS-based location data to identify your position on a golf course, provide hole-by-hole yardages, and deliver localized course recommendations. You can withdraw this permission at any time through your device settings; doing so will limit certain navigation features.

 

1.5  Usage & Device Information

We automatically collect certain technical data when you use the app:

  • Device type, model, and operating system version

  • Unique device identifiers and app version

  • Features accessed, screens viewed, and session duration

  • Crash reports and error logs

  • IP address and approximate network location

 

1.6  Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website and app use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to authenticate sessions, remember your preferences, and analyze aggregate usage. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or our in-app privacy controls. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.

 

1.7  Communications

If you contact our support team or respond to in-app surveys, we retain those communications to assist you and improve the Service.
 

 

2.  How We Use Your Information

 

 

 

 

2.1  Providing and Personalizing the Service

 

 

 

 

We use your account, golf performance, and location data to operate the Noonan app and deliver personalized AI caddie recommendations—including club selection, shot strategy, and aiming guidance—tailored to your playing style, skill level, and course conditions.

 

2.2  AI Model Training & Improvement

Aggregated and de-identified game data helps us train and refine the machine-learning models that power Noonan’s recommendations. We do not use individually identifiable data to train models shared across users without your consent.

 

2.3  Payment Processing

Your payment information is used solely to complete transactions for premium features and subscriptions and is passed directly to our PCI-compliant payment processor.

 

2.4  Communications & Notifications

We may use your phone number or email to send:

  • Transactional messages (receipts, security alerts, service notices)

  • In-app updates and new feature announcements

  • Optional marketing communications — only with your prior consent and with an easy opt-out in every message

 

2.5  Analytics & App Improvement

Aggregated usage data helps us understand how golfers use the app, diagnose technical issues, and prioritize new features. This data is analyzed at a population level, not individually.

 

2.6  Legal & Safety Obligations

We may process your information where required to comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful government requests, enforce our Terms of Service, or protect the rights and safety of Noonan, our users, or the public.


 

 

3.  Data Sharing & Disclosure

 

Noonan does not sell your personal information. We share data only in the limited circumstances described below.
 

3.1  Service Providers

We engage carefully vetted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, including payment processing, cloud hosting, analytics, and customer support. These providers access only the data necessary to perform their function and are contractually required to keep it confidential, use it only for the agreed purpose, and implement appropriate security measures.

 

3.2  Legal Requirements

We may disclose personal information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or other lawful governmental request. Where permitted, we will attempt to notify you before making such a disclosure.

 

3.3  Business Transfers

If Noonan undergoes a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets, your personal information may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you via the app or email at least 30 days before your data becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy, and you will have the option to delete your account during that period.

 

3.4  Aggregate & De-identified Data

We may share aggregated, statistical, or de-identified information (e.g., average club distances across user cohorts) with partners or the public for research, marketing, or product-development purposes. This data cannot reasonably be used to identify you.



 

4.  Data Retention

 

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specific retention periods include:

  • Account and profile data: retained for the life of your account and deleted within 90 days of account closure

  • Golf performance and game data: retained for the life of your account; you may delete individual rounds at any time in-app

  • Payment records: retained for 7 years to satisfy financial and tax compliance obligations

  • Usage logs and crash reports: retained for up to 24 months

  • Support communications: retained for up to 3 years

When we delete data, we remove it from production systems and purge it from backups within 90 days.

 

5.  Data Security

 

We implement industry-standard technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher) and at rest (AES-256)

  • Access controls and least-privilege policies for internal staff

  • Regular security assessments and penetration testing

  • Incident response procedures with user notification obligations

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@noonan.ai.

 

 

6.  Your Rights & Choices

 

Depending on your location, you may have the rights described below. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@noonan.ai. We will respond within 45 days and may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request.

6.1  Access & Portability

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and, where technically feasible, receive it in a structured, machine-readable format.

 

6.2  Correction

You may update most account and profile information directly in the app’s Settings screen. For data you cannot edit in-app, contact us and we will correct inaccuracies promptly.

 

6.3  Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data. We will honor this request subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records (see Section 4). To delete your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, or email info@noonan.ai.

 

6.4  Opt-Out of Marketing Communications

You can opt out of promotional emails or SMS messages at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” in any message or adjusting your notification preferences in the app. You will continue to receive transactional and service-related messages.
 

6.5  Location Data

You can enable or disable the app’s access to your device’s GPS through your device’s operating-system settings. Disabling location access will limit course-navigation and yardage features.

6.6  California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • Right to Know: request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, used, shared, or sold in the preceding 12 months

  • Right to Delete: request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions

  • Right to Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information

  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: Noonan does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising

  • Right to Non-Discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights

6.7  European & UK Residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing your personal information are: performance of a contract (to provide the Service), our legitimate interests (to improve the app and prevent fraud), compliance with legal obligations, and your consent (for marketing communications and optional features). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

 

7.  Children’s Privacy

 

The Noonan Caddie app is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under the applicable age threshold, we will delete it promptly. 8.  Third-Party Links & Integrations

 

The app may contain links to third-party websites or offer optional integrations with third-party devices (such as launch monitors and GPS watches). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party you interact with through or alongside Noonan.

 

 

9.  Changes to This Privacy Policy

 

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document

  • Notify you via an in-app banner or push notification

  • For significant changes, seek your fresh consent where required by law

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
